I was born in Paterson, NJ on March 11, 1954. My mother was a nurse and my father was a doctor. I attended St. Therese's School and Paterson Catholic Regional High School. I worked for The Division of Youth & Family Services in Paterson, New Jersey for 6 years, at which point I decided to obtain my paralegal degree from New Jersey in 1982 after witnessing so much child abuse. I wanted to study the law in hopes of finding the answer as to the rights of children. After graduating, I landed a job with a local law firm, and hence began my 25 years in the legal field.

I have three children: Stephen Matthew, age 33; Julie Anne, age 32; and Derek Marcelo, age 30. Julie Anne and her husband Keith have two beautiful daughters, Aidan MacKenzie, age 3; and Emma Nicole, age 2. Add to that my wonderful husband, Sam, and his son, Ryan, age 19, who I've been raising for five years, to complete my family.

My life has been a journey and through my book you will embark on that trip with me. These are stories of real working people who have been victims of workplace bullying and just want to tell their story. If by reading my book you embark on a journey of your own through memories of your own harassment ~~ I have accomplished my goal of helping you heal old wounds and put closure to that part of your life. You have the power to create your own destiny by refusing to be a victim any longer by taking that first step to emotional freedom.
