Louise Lovison

Louise H. Lovison is an animal behaviorist specializing in training cats. She wants people who own cats or are planning to get a cat or two to know the cat can be trained to do almost anything a dog can do, i.e. retrieve, heel, answer to certain commands and play as well as any puppy. For that reason, she has written Our Feline Friends. Louise has given talks to groups interested in cats and had her own column from 1999 to 2001 in The Chicago Pet Times, in which she wrote about the care, maintenance and training of cats. She lives in Chicago with her four cats: Aimee, a Main Coon; Bret, a Himalayan; Josephine, a stray that followed her home one day; and Sally. a domestic shorthair. Louise is always willing to listen to and answer questions sent to her by her readers.
