I have been writing poems for more than 50 years and never have really felt any need to try to publish them, as they were generally written for the people about whom they were written or were just for my own satisfaction. The old line about how can I know what I think until I see what I have written applies very specifically to my poetry. I have looked at my life and the life of others through poetry and it has given me much satisfaction.
I hope my book gives you a similar enjoyment.
